Galvanized Steel European Four-in-One Chainmail Bracelet

This bracelet is made of 14 gauge galvanized steel rings woven in the European Four-in-One pattern, which is the most common weave for chainmail. It has no clasp attached yet. Galvanized steel is coated with zinc to prevent rust, and will tarnish to a white color, which can be avoided easily with frequent wear. Carrying it in your pocket for a couple of days is enough to clean it up if it does tarnish. It does NOT stay as brightly shiny as it looks here; rather, it darkens nicely and looks very authentically aged. Some people do not trust galvanized steel for wear against the skin, but I used to wear a galvanized steel bracelet every day (I had actually woven it around my arm, "permanently" attaching it) and suffered no ill effects. Toxins only occur if you try to burn the zinc off the steel, perhaps with a torch, which is not a situation ever encountered during normal wear. It's possible that skin contact with the steel's zinc coating may even boost your immune system, but I cannot confirm that.
